We left Inverness this morning with some wistfulness. Ross was very good to us at the Royston Guest House. He is Laird Ross due to his ownership of a square meter of highlands - I've seen the certificate of title.
Here Isaac holds Jasmine:
On our way down from the highlands, we saw many odd place names. We're not sure if this is a place name or a command:
Our new digs in Stirling are at the Claremont Lodge Hotel (a nice place) that is actually in a suburb of Stirling called Alloa:
The next door house faces the other way, but is clearly of the same architectural build:
We walked around the neighborhood after dinner and found a memorial to the service members from Alloa lost during the Boer War:
As with many places in the UK, there are a few architecturally interesting buildings. This house has one flat side and one curved side to fit it into the plot it occupies. Leslie thinks that it looks like the Weasley's house from Harry Potter:
This big pile of stone is now the town hall. One naturally thinks it was a church at one time, but who's to know? There is probably research to be done on google, but I can't be bothered.
Mark Webber is now on Top Gear and it's time to go.
Cheers - good night.
