We left Fareham early this morning on the way to Stonhenge
Of course, Isaac has an opinion (shared by millions) as to the actual group who set up Stonehenge:
We had a very nice drive from Stonehenge through a ton of little tiny villages with thatched roof cottages:
But eventually, we got to the M5 and M6 motorways headed west and north to Preston. Just like on Monday, there were tons of basically unexplainable traffic slowdowns and congestion:
These turned an already long 4-hour drive into more than 6 and a half hours - which is no way to be spending our precious time here in England - even though we did go through some very beautiful countryside.
Now to bed.

Glad to hear you had a good time with the family, but sorry about the traffic jams. I realize now that was our trade-off when we went -- we were there early enough in the summer that the roads weren't busy and we paid for it with endless rain. I hope it will be smoother in Scotland.
